Why does the UK have the highest over age 65 pneumococcal disease mortality rates in Europe? Research clearly showed that healthcare professionals were motivated by comparator disease rates, especially when revealed that vaccination was being ignored.

Mass adapted a suite of global assets for local UK use to raise the awareness of the burden of this disease. We created a ‘push’ effect to drive the desire for policy change. This new initiative dovetailed with a wider Pneumo Aware campaign which talked directly to policy decision makers to call for a review of the current vaccination schedules; its effectiveness and value to society.
